Veterans who get phone calls from people claiming to represent the “Patient Care Group” of the VA should ignore those telephone pitches, says VA Secretary James Nicholson. This latest scam, originating in the Midwest, runs like this: The callers state that the VA has changed its procedures for dispensing prescriptions, and then they ask for personal financial information, such as credit card numbers.
