Lockheed Renames Rotary Division

Lockheed Martin has reshaped its Mission Systems and Training section, forming a new Rotary and Mission Systems following its purchase of Sikorsky. The new portfolio will include more than 1,000 programs, including helicopters and other areas such as missile defense, electronic warfare, radar, and others, according to a Lockheed release. Lockheed in November 2015 purchased Sikorsky Aircraft for $9 billion, and has large-scale contracts with the new division such as the Air Force’s combat rescue helicopter and the Marine One replacement. The change is effective Sept. 5.
