Museum adds Vietnam War Gallery to Virtual Tour

The National Museum of the US Air Force in Dayton, Ohio, has added its Southeast Asia War Gallery to its online virtual tour feature. This addition is one of the museum’s activities to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the first Air Force campaign in Vietnam. The interactive tour allows online visitors to view the objects on display in the gallery, including more than 25 aircraft from the Vietnam War. Clicking on an artifact or exhibit allows visitors to access factsheets, audio-tour podcasts with printable transcripts, and videos. This gallery is in the midst of a multiyear renovation. “The Air Force’s role during the Southeast Asia War is not widely understood,” said Jeff Duford, museum curator. “When complete, this gallery will present our visitors with the rich, multi-faceted story of Air Force service and sacrifice during that long conflict.” (Dayton release by Bryan D.
