The three MCAS Yuma, Calif.-based F-35Bs that will perform at the Royal International Air Tattoo and Farnborough Airshow in Britain in July will transit through NAS Patuxent River, Md., not MCAS Beaufort, S.C., as we reported on June 11. Also, their airshow flight demonstrations will not include a vertical takeoff. We’ve corrected our original entry.
The last remaining T-1 Jayhawk at JBSA-Randolph, Texas, took its final flight to the "Boneyard" at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Ariz., on July 15. The 99th Flying Training Squadron will train pilots using T-6 and simulator until it gets T-7 Red Hawk in fiscal 2026.
