Air Force Reserve Command’s 403rd Wing at Keesler AFB, Miss., has received the second new longer-fuselaged C-130J Hercules delivered to the Air Force so far in 2006. (It also took delivery of the first J for 2006, last month.) Maj. Gen. Martin Mazick, who is soon to be commander of AFRC’s 22nd Air Force, flew the aircraft from the Lockheed Martin facility at Marietta, Ga. This new J will go to the 403rd Wing’s 815th Airlift Squadron.
Competitors Not Picked for CCA Look Forward to Increment 2

While none of the major aircraft contractors were selected to develop the Collaborative Combat Aircraft, all three say they are seeking further autonomous aircraft work for the Navy, foreign partners, or in the classified arena, and maybe future versions of the CCA itself.
