Two Washington Air National Guardsmen received Bronze Star medals for their efforts during deployments to Iraq in 2004, reports the Spokesman Review. MSgt. Henry Stroisch and TSgt. Michael Frady were deployed to Balad, Iraq, working with an Army transportation company. Stroisch set up a training program for new troops, and Frady established a computer network for the Army camp. They are both assigned to ANG’s 141st Air Refueling Wing.
The Space Development Agency says it’s on track to issue its next batch of missile warning and tracking satellite contracts this month after those awards were delayed by the Pentagon’s decision to divert funds from the agency to pay troops during this fall’s prolonged government shutdown.
