Some 155 airmen from the Royal Australian Air Force are deployed to Southwest Asia, where they operate C-130 airlifters, flying supplies throughout the Southwest Asia area of operations. SrA. Clark Staehle also reports that some RAAF airmen work in the Combined Air Operations Center, where they coordinate Australian airlift flights and provide intelligence for other Australian assets in the theater.
The Space Development Agency says it’s on track to issue its next batch of missile warning and tracking satellite contracts this month after those awards were delayed by the Pentagon’s decision to divert funds from the agency to pay troops during this fall’s prolonged government shutdown.
