DOD’s acquisition guru Ken Krieg has wrapped up his “investment review” of the Air Force’s CSAR-X program and reportedly has left it alone, according to Dow Jones Newswires. Krieg initiated the review in February to see how the helicopter fleet fit in with existing DOD aircraft fleets. Lexington Institute’s Loren Thompson told Dow Jones that the review left USAF plans untrammeled.
The Space Force wants to emphasize small, low-cost systems and commercial capabilities in the next generation of Silent Barker surveillance satellites, drawing lessons from its work to replace the Geosynchronous Space Situational Awareness program.
