President Trump on Friday signed a six-month omnibus spending bill, averting a government shutdown. The $1 trillion bill will keep the government open through September. The bill was approved by the Senate on May 4, with the House approving it May 3. The bill gives the Pentagon a funding jump of $12.5 billion, with another $2.5 billion expected once the White House releases a new plan to defeat ISIS.
The nominee to become the next head of U.S. Strategic Command, Vice Adm. Richard Correll, endorsed the production of more than 100 B-21 bombers, echoing his predecessor Gen. Anthony Cotton's view.
