James Roy visited the Air Force-led advisors of the Combined Air Power Transition Force and also met with members of the Afghan National Army Air Force in Kabul, Afghanistan, during a visit to the ANAAF base there June 23-24. This stop was part of his tour of Southwest Asia. Roy thanked the CATPF advisors their service and dedication. “Not everybody can do the job that you are doing today,” he said. He also met with the command sergeant major of the ANAAF, Eid Mohammad, for discussions on issues like training and promotions. He then toured the Afghan Air Training School. “They are well on their way,” he said, noting the progress of the school and of the fledgling air arm, in general. He also toured the ANAAF dormitories and ate lunch at the Afghan dining facility with Afghan airmen. (Kabul release)
