Two pilots are safe after ejecting from an A-29 Super Tucano near Moody AFB, Ga., on Monday. The pilots, assigned to the 81st Fighter Squadron, were flying a routine training flight near Homerville at about 2:50 p.m. when they were forced to eject, Moody said in a statement. The aircraft crashed in a residential area, with no reported injuries or damage to structures. The pilots were recovered and taken to Clinch Memorial Hospital in Homerville, and they were released later Monday. The Air Force has opened an investigation into the crash. The Air Force is training Afghan Air Force pilots to fly the A-29 at Moody. The service has not yet disclosed the nationalities of the pilots.
The Air Force Historical Foundation has recognized two Air Force B-2 Spirit bomber wings among the winners of its 2025-2026 prestigious annual awards, selecting both for their part in Operation Midnight Hammer, the daring raid on Iran’s fortified nuclear weapons sites.
