Raytheon is establishing the headquarters of its newly formed Intelligence, Information, and Services business area at the company’s existing hub for operations in Sterling, Va., announced the company. It is also shifting the headquarters of its Space and Airborne Systems business from El Segundo, Calif., to McKinney, Tex., where the company already has a major presence, states the company’s May 2 release. SAS business operations will continue in California and other states. These decisions are part of the company’s consolidation, announced in March, according to the release. The headquarters of Raytheon’s Integrated Defense Systems business area will stay in Tewksbury, Mass., and the seat of its Missile Systems business area will remain in Tucson, Ariz.
The Space Force should take bold, decisive steps—and soon—to develop the capabilities and architecture needed to support more flexible, dynamic operations in orbit and counter Chinese aggression and technological progress, according to a new report from AFA’s Mitchell Institute for Aerospace Studies.
