The Warner Robins Air Logistics Center in Georgia is hiring, in fact, according to a report by The Sun News, center commander Maj. Gen. Polly Peyer, told industry representatives at the seventh annual Requirements Symposium in Perry, Ga., “We are on the uptick of hiring.” Peyer added, “There’s a lot of opportunity here, regardless of what you hear about downsizing.” She expects to hire more than 770 personnel, primarily in electronics and engineering, in Fiscal 2010.

While none of the major aircraft contractors were selected to develop the Collaborative Combat Aircraft, all three say they are seeking further autonomous aircraft work for the Navy, foreign partners, or in the classified arena, and maybe future versions of the CCA itself.
