Chief of Staff Gen. Mark Welsh has reassigned Maj. Gen. Steven Kwast, who’s led the Air Force’s Quadrennial Defense Review office since January, to command the Curtis E. LeMay Center for Doctrine Development and Education at Maxwell AFB, Ala., announced the Pentagon on Sept. 12. In this role, Kwast will also be Air University’s vice commander.
