The Air Force Sustainment Center at Tinker AFB, Okla., and Boeing signed an agreement allowing the two organizations to tackle sustainment tasks more effectively across the service’s logistics enterprise, according to a center release. This is the first center-wide partnership agreement since AFSC stood up in June 2012, states the Nov. 1 release. AFSC Commander Lt. Gen. Bruce Litchfield signed the agreement on Oct. 9. Before Air Force Materiel Command’s restructuring, each of the service’s three air logistics complexes—which now fall under AFSC—would sign separate partnership agreements with industry that would take a year or more to negotiate. With the new center-wide agreement in place, each ALC will be able to work out implementation agreements with Boeing in a much shorter amount of time, states the release. Top Lawmakers Want 15 Percent Pay Raise for Enlisted Troops

A new law introduced by Congress would raise the pay rate 15 percent for junior enlisted troops and seek improvements on a range of quality of life issues, such as pay and compensation, child care, housing, health care access, and military spouse employment.
