The Air Force has created a new Web site feature that highlights the work—and sacrifices—airmen are making in the war on terror. The site, which is called “Portraits in Courage,” initially features photos and vignettes on the contributions of 15 airmen. Gen. Michael Moseley, Chief of Staff, says that airmen have “stepped up and done incredible things” throughout the service’s history and that it’s important to recognize that “today’s airmen continue that legacy and are answering the call in a big way.”
Anduril and General Atomics will develop their Collaborative Combat Aircraft for the Air Force, beating out Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and Northrop Grumman, the service announced on April 24. But any of the non-selected companies can compete to actually manufacture the eventual design, the Air Force said.
