US Air Forces in Europe says that some 90 aircrew and support personnel from bases throughout Europe and the US will participate in this year’s Berlin International Air Show at the Berlin-Schonefeld Airport from May 16-21, 2006. USAF aircraft destined for the show include the A-10, B-1B, C-130J, C-17, F-15E, F-16CJ, and KC-135. Officials say that the C-17 may perform an aerial demonstration.
Air Force Gen. Alexus G. Grynkewich assumed command of U.S. European Command on July 1, taking over the key assignment as the U.S. and its allies contend with a resurgent Russia and a grinding war in Ukraine.
