The 3rd Wing at Elmendorf AFB, Alaska, has activated its second F-22A Raptor squadron, the 525th Fighter Squadron “Bulldogs,” reports SSgt. Francesca Popp. The unit joins the active 90th FS and Air Force Reserve Command 302nd FS, which will fly and maintain Raptors as an associate unit. Elmendorf received its first F-22s in August. When it reaches full operational capability late next year, the 525th will comprise some 26 airmen and 20 aircraft.
