McConnell AFB, Kan., explosive ordnance disposal technicians recently helped local agencies dispose of a World War I-area explosive. The Marion County Sheriff’s Department on Aug. 8 received the century-old artillery projectile and needed help to dispose of it, according to a McConnell news release. The response was the second time in two weeks McConnell EOD specialists responded to the county, the release states.
