According to a news release from RAF Croughton, England, 10 Air National Guard and Reserve airmen have deployed to the small communications facility in Northamptonshire to augment the 422nd Security Forces Squadron, which has sent 21 active duty airmen to Southwest Asia. The reservists are providing installation security. However, the 422nd SFS tapped one, TSgt. Dustin Schimp, to employ his civilian expertise to help the unit revamp its record management system.
The rate of building B-21 bombers would speed up if the fiscal 2026 defense budget passes. But it remains unclear how much capacity would be added, and whether the Air Force would simply build the bombers faster, or buy more.
