Veterans Affairs plans to hire an additional 100 new employees to handle readjustment counseling for returning combat veterans. They will be assigned to some of the VA’s 209 community-based Vet Centers. VA also plans to hold a four-day mental health care meeting in Washington in July, bringing in VA’s top mental health experts from around the country.
