Air Force Space Command plans to induct six space visionaries into the Air Force Space and Missile Pioneers Hall of Fame at a ceremony scheduled for Aug. 24. The inductees are retired Air Force officers: Col. Wilbert F. Craig III, Brig. Gen. Maurice A. Cristadoro Jr., Maj. Gen. Ben I. Funk, Col. Francis J. Hale, Lt. Col. Albert W. Johnson, and Col. Richard S. Leghorn.
Brig. Gen. Clarence E. “Bud” Anderson, the last surviving triple ace from World War II, was honored one last time by the nation's top Airmen when he was buried here with full military honors March 30.
