After DOD unveiled the National Security Personnel System this week, there are a lot of civilian employees in the department that still have questions, according to the Washington Post. For example, what do the new salary scales look like and where do workers fit in to them? In place of the General Schedule, DOD is putting in occupational groups and within each group are “pay bands” that will take in two or more of the old grades.
