The Air Force has selected Clark Realty to develop its AMC East Military Housing Privatization project to improve housing at Andrews AFB, Md., and MacDill AFB, Fla. Clark has worked and is working on various military housing projects. In this most recent public-private venture, Clark will “finance, plan, design, and construct improvements at each base, as well as own and operate the rental housing for 50 years,” states a company release. Sean Callahan, Clark development executive, said, “We have a long track record of improving quality of life for the Army, Navy, and Marines, and look forward to continuing this tradition for our nation’s Air Force families.”
Space Force acquisition leaders say they’re worried the lapse in funding for the Small Business Innovative Research program could impede the service’s efforts to leverage commercial technology and innovation.
