The Montana Air National Guard’s 120th Fighter Wing is sending more than 150 airmen and eight F-16s to participate in close air support training at Davis-Monthan AFB, Ariz., reports the Great Falls Tribune. The two-week exercise, which kicks off Dec. 1, is called Snowbird.
The Air Force wants to pump more than $12 billion over the next five years into its new affordable long-range missiles program and recently asked industry to push the flights of some of those munitions beyond 1,200 miles.
