Air Force Special Operations Command has renamed two streets to honor TSgt. Sean Corlew and SSgt. Anissa Shero, who were killed in the crash of an MC-130H Combat Talon II in Afghanistan in June 2002. Corlew and Shero, who were loadmasters deployed from the 15th Special Operations Squadron at Hurlburt, were on a mission to exfiltrate three US Army Special Forces members and their equipment. The MC-130H couldn’t maintain enough thrust during takeoff to remain airborne and crashed, killing the two airmen and one soldier. (Hurlburt report by Amy Oliver)
