The Air Force is making repairs to the runway at Spangdahlem AB, Germany, so the 52nd Fighter Wing has sent its A-10 and F-16 aircraft to other bases. The 22nd Fighter Squadron has deployed to Nellis AFB, Nev.; the 23rd FS has gone to the German air base Buechel, just 20 miles from Spangdahlem; and the 81st FS deployed to RAF Lakenheath, England. SSgt. Andrea Knudson reports that the runway repairs would continue until mid-July.
Anduril and General Atomics will develop their Collaborative Combat Aircraft for the Air Force, beating out Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and Northrop Grumman, the service announced on April 24. But any of the non-selected companies can compete to actually manufacture the eventual design, the Air Force said.
