RED HORSE Makes Andersen Home:

The engineers of the 554th RED HORSE, currently stationed at Osan AB, South Korea, are in the process of moving to Andersen AFB, Guam, to provide the Air Force with a mobile civil engineer response force to support contingency and special operations across the world. The 554th is the oldest active duty RED HORSE in the service and the only one forward deployed for more than 30 years, said Pacific Air Forces officials. Lt. Col. Richard Sloop, 554th commander, says the unit, at its new location, will continue to serve as a “regional asset” to the Pacific theater. Once all members of the unit arrive over the next two years, the 554th will start building their own home on Northwest Field, Sloop added.
