The Senate has passed and referred to the House a concurrent resolution (S. Con. Res. 12) marking March 25, 2007, as National Medal of Honor Day. The special day would “mark the significance and importance of the Medal of Honor and honor the recipients of the Medal of Honor on the anniversary of the first award of that medal in 1863,” according to the legislation.
