Despite the fact he is also a vocal critic of defense planners for failing to adequately anticipate the current Iraq situation, the Pentagon still wants to talk with him. His book “The Pentagon’s New Map” is widely read in military and intelligence circles, and, , according to the Washington Post, DOD asked him to unveil the book’s sequel at a closed door speech Wednesday at the National Defense University.
