SSgt. Timothy Hahn died last summer when he tried to save a member of his hiking group caught in a flash flood in Sabino Canyon in Arizona. Last week, the Air Force awarded Hahn, who was a member of the 563rd Rescue Group’s maintenance squadron at Davis-Monthan AFB, Ariz., an Airman’s Medal for his heroic act. Anduril and General Atomics will develop their Collaborative Combat Aircraft for the Air Force, beating out Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and Northrop Grumman, the service announced on April 24. But any of the non-selected companies can compete to actually manufacture the eventual design, the Air Force said.
