As part of the transfer of control underway in South Korea, the South Korean Air Force will handle military weather forecasting for both peacetime and wartime operations, reports The Korea Times. Officials have not yet said whether this transfer will mean the US Air Force would reduce the number of weather personnel stationed on the peninsula. By tradition, USAF provides weather data for both the Air Force and Army.
