The Army has presented its Commendation Medal to SSgt. Benjamin Bomar, with the 375th Security Forces Squadron at Scott AFB, Ill., for his service in Iraq. Bomar, a military working dog handler, was the sole airman working with the 133rd Cavalry, 101st Airborne Division. (Read more here.)
The Air Force is spending heavily on F-22 improvements through the end of the decade, suggesting it may not retire the jet in 2030 as it previously planned. New sensors, fuel tanks, communications, and electronic warfare systems are among the upgrades that comprise the package.
