ir Mobility Command has named the 60th Air Mobility Wing at Travis AFB, Calif., as the Best Air Mobility Team for the 2007 Rodeo competition. Team Travis also took “best” team honors for airland, tanker, KC-10, C-17, C-5, and best maintenance knucklebuster in the awards revealed on June 27. Other awards presented on June 26 included Travis winners for C-5 air refueling aircrew, C-5 post-flight team, C-5 maintenance team, C-5 aircrew, KC-10 air refueling aircrew, KC-10 maintenance team, KC-10 cargo loading crew, KC-10 aircrew.
The Air Force has finished modifying and testing the new VC-25B Bridge aircraft that will serve as a temporary Air Force One, the service announced May 1. All that’s left now is to finish painting the jet before it starts flying this summer.
