A KC-135 crew led by Capt. Robert J. Goodman saves an F-4E Phantom and its crew over the Pacific, refueling the F-4E four times and towing it with a refueling boom. The KC-135 crew received the 1983 Mackay Trophy for the most meritorious flight of the year.
