C-74 Globemaster Becomes First Aircraft to Fly 100 Across Atlantic

A crew flying a Douglas C-74 Globemaster I, The Champ, lands at RAF Marham, United Kingdom, after a 23-hour flight from Mobile, Ala. On board are 103 passengers and crew—the first time an aircraft has flown 100 individuals across the Atlantic.
