Air Force Reservists pursuing a master’s degree will now have a little more cash to work with thanks to an increase in their tuition assistance rate that went into effect Oct. 10. In a release Oct. 30, Air Force Reserve Command said the rate has gone up from 75 percent to 100 percent, meaning a Reservist may receive $250 per semester hour instead of $187.50 and $166.66 per quarter hour instead of $125. The new rate is not retroactive, and the fiscal year cap, per member, remains at $4,500, according to AFRC.
