The Air Force announced the 12 Outstanding Airmen of the Year for 2014. They include, SMSgt. Boston Alexander, Air Force District of Washington; TSgt. Latoria Ellis, Air Education and Training Command; SrA. Aaron Feliciano, Air Combat Command; TSgt. Ryan Gangadeen, Air Force Space Command; SrA. Ariful Haque, Pacific Air Forces; TSgt. Toyre Hudson, Air Mobility Command; TSgt. Doug Matthews, Air National Guard; TSgt. William Posch; Air Force Reserve Command; MSgt. Delorean Sheridan, Air Force Special Operations Command; SMSgt. Michael Venning, Air Force Materiel Command; and SrA. David Wallace, Air Force Global Strike Command. An Air Force selection board at Air Force Personnel Command selected the 12 winners from a pool of 35 nominees from major commands, direct reporting units, field operating agencies, and Headquarters Air Force “based on superior leadership, job performance, and personal achievements,” states a release.
