Fighters from the 36th Fighter Squadron at Osan AB, Korea, are set to fly with their South Korean counterparts in two weeks. The US F-16Cs and F-15Ks from the ROKAF’s 11th Fighter Wing will practice basic maneuvers and the fundamentals of air-to-air combat at Osan, according to a release. Exercise Buddy Wing 16-5—the latest of the regular joint exercise to ensure readiness on the Korean peninsula—will run from June 7 to June 10.
Anduril and General Atomics will develop their Collaborative Combat Aircraft for the Air Force, beating out Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and Northrop Grumman, the service announced on April 24. But any of the non-selected companies can compete to actually manufacture the eventual design, the Air Force said.
