Blown F-15 Tire Temporarily Closes Portland Runway

Officials temporarily closed one of the runways at Portland International Airport in Portland, Ore., after a tire on an Oregon Air National Guard F-15 blew out upon the aircraft’s landing, reported USA Today. The incident happened on Wednesday during the 142nd Fighter Wing’s night-flying exercises. Crews cleaned up debris and there were no injuries; nor was there any disruption to commercial air traffic, according to the report.
