Officials temporarily closed one of the runways at Portland International Airport in Portland, Ore., after a tire on an Oregon Air National Guard F-15 blew out upon the aircraft’s landing, reported USA Today. The incident happened on Wednesday during the 142nd Fighter Wing’s night-flying exercises. Crews cleaned up debris and there were no injuries; nor was there any disruption to commercial air traffic, according to the report.
Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth visited the site of U.S. Space Command’s future home Dec. 12 and endorsed the move to establish the headquarters in Alabama after years of political back and forth.
