Air Force Reserve Command officials unveiled a new Web-based official orders system—Air Reserve Order Writing System-Reserve—that they say should be available for use by Nov. 1. Individual mobilization augmentees can use the system from any computer to start the orders process. The AROWS-R combines the first Web-based system—Web Orders Transaction System—and other personnel systems, enabling commanders to view information such as cost and operations being supported.
Lt. Gen. Stephen L. Davis, the Department of the Air Force’s top internal watchdog, has been nominated to lead Air Force Global Strike Command, which oversees the service’s bombers and intercontinental ballistic missiles.
