Two Air Force airmen were killed and one was injured in a March 15 car accident outside the Honduran city of La Ceiba. The airmen had been deployed in support of a joint training exercise called New Horizons 2006-Honduras in cooperation with the Honduras government. The injured airman was taken to a local hospital where he is being treated for serious injuries, according to an Air Force statement. Names of the dead are being withheld pending notification of family.
Anduril and General Atomics will develop their Collaborative Combat Aircraft for the Air Force, beating out Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and Northrop Grumman, the service announced on April 24. But any of the non-selected companies can compete to actually manufacture the eventual design, the Air Force said.
