The $400,000 Question

The increase for the Servicemember’s Group Life Insurance that Congress legislated earlier this year is set to start Thursday. The new maximum is $400,000. It goes into effect automatically, unless a service member declines or elects to reduce the coverage amount. To do that, the service member must complete a new form (SGLV 8286), which is available on the VA Web site. Read this announcement for more information.
