The Defense Department’s Tricare Management Activity has created a new policy to prevent a break in Tricare Prime coverage for family members of National Guard and Reserve members recalled to active duty. A TMA news release calls the new policy, which authorizes a 30-day retroactive Prime enrollment period, “a seamless transition” from Tricare Prime coverage under the Transitional Assistance Management Program to the “same coverage as an active duty family member.”
The Air Force wants to pump more than $12 billion over the next five years into its new affordable long-range missiles program and recently asked industry to push the flights of some of those munitions beyond 1,200 miles.
