The Air Force apparently is gearing up to celebrate its 60th anniversary—which will be Sept. 18, 2007, the date the Air Force became a separate service. USAF leaders already have named Col. Benjamin J. Hulsey to serve as Director for the 60th Anniversary Task Force. Hulsey’s last post was as director of operations management at Air Mobility Command’s Tanker Airlift Control Center, Scott AFB, Ill.
President Donald Trump signed legislation reopening the federal government late Nov. 12, ending the longest shutdown in U.S. history. The move sets the stage for tens of thousands of defense civilians to return to work and guarantees troops will be paid in a few days’ time.
