Philadelphia, in late May, will kick off the Air Force’s three-city tour this year, to celebrate the service, gets its message out, and build relationships with local communities. Omaha will follow in August and then Los Angeles in November. “Air Force Week 2008” activities in the Philadelphia area will begin on Memorial Day, May 26, and culminate on May 31 and June 1 with an Air Exposition at nearby McGuire, AFB, N.J., featuring the Air Force Thunderbirds demonstration team, according to a McGuire release. The festivities will move to Omaha from August 11 to 17, and conclude in Los Angeles from November 14 to 21. The Air Force hosted its inaugural Air Force Week in St. Louis in 2006 and has since held similar events in Phoenix, Sacramento, Honolulu, and Atlanta.
