USAF medics with the 447th Expeditionary Medical Squadron at Sather AB, Iraq, ply their expertise several times a week outside the base, treating patients at the Radhwaniya Medical Clinic Outreach Program building. The Air Force medical personnel and other volunteers provide routine checkups and deliver candy and school supplies. Participant TSgt. Michelle Du Lac says, “I’m a better medic for being here.”
The Air Force is spending heavily on F-22 improvements through the end of the decade, suggesting it may not retire the jet in 2030 as it previously planned. New sensors, fuel tanks, communications, and electronic warfare systems are among the upgrades that comprise the package.
