The Air Force has agreed to pay Centre Consulting of Vienna, Va., $24.8 million over five years to train USAF civilian personnel supervisors to implement the new National Security Personnel System, reports Government Executive. For this money, the company will provide 2,500 eight-hour seminars, at a rate of about 50 each month. We just knew the NSPS was a tough nut. (Read our article “New Day for Defense Civilians.”)
The Air Force is spending heavily on F-22 improvements through the end of the decade, suggesting it may not retire the jet in 2030 as it previously planned. New sensors, fuel tanks, communications, and electronic warfare systems are among the upgrades that comprise the package.
