In addition to the latest Total Force Integration initiatives unveiled last week at Maxwell AFB, Ala., the Air Force inactivated Air Force Reserve Command’s 100th Flying Training Squadron at Randolph AFB, Tex., and will move the 39th FTS at Moody AFB, Ga., to Randolph in its stead. Both units were part of AFRC’s 340th Flying Training Group, headquartered at Randolph.
The Air Force is planning to spend $2.19 billion over the next five years to acquire new C-37 jets for transporting military and civilian leaders. That’s on top of another $1.17 billion in projected funding for the VC-25B “Air Force One” replacement.
