Ogden Air Logistics Center at Hill AFB, Utah, has teamed with Parker Aerospace to work hydraulic repairs on a number of aircraft, including the A-10, C-17, F-16, and F-22, reports the Hilltop Times. Center officials say the arrangement “is just the beginning” and will lead to cost savings and increased productivity.
Air Force depots are not typically meant for quick repair jobs, but during Operation Epic Fury, the service moved some of its stateside heavy maintenance capability forward to fix battle-damaged aircraft closer to the fight.
